Which is what I did! My results = satisfactory. Here is my journey with superfood: (try out the recipe!) a satisfying blend.

Introducing Interior Design Segment!!

I am so excited to introduce this segment dedicated to Interior Design. I am still deciding what I want to be when I grow up (even though I am 25 year old) It is never too late to follow your passion. I would like to share my journey here with youuuu my bomb azz followers! While also giving you aspiring designers some serious inspiration from in the bizz experts! Come along with me starting from genuine beginnings into this fast-changing career field.

A little about what I’ve dabbled in this far…

I research Interior Design daily. Some things you can expect to see in this new segment will be highlighted info that is important to remember along your interior design journey. I’m going to fact check…like the internet can be sketchy and full of BS so since I am researching from a self-taught position, I Vet my work before publishing, ensuring I am reiterating correct design formatting. But I’m also a human and def makes mistakes, so your comments are welcomed if you find any! We are all here to learn&grow 🙂

I watch numerous educational youtube channels on Interior Design. Like, I watch them 4-8 hours a day. I always have a notebook and erasable pen on hand to take notes. I’ve recently began using spacial planner online. Still fairly new to it! I am constantly rearranging my apartment to find new ways to style colors, sofa placement, and the finishings. Since I’m limited financially and space-wise at the moment , I work with what I got.

Mr.Kate brings a positive, all inclusive and stinkin cute attitude to every video she has created with her man Joey. Kate graduated college with skills in camera work/theatre. Which is prob (out of many) reasons why her videos are truly a pleasure to watch. Mr.Kate’s channel takes a more fresh approach to the truly grinding and exclusive journey into Interior Design. “Creative Weirdos” is her tag line that tells you how embracing her practice is! When I watch Kate and Joey, I feel like we are friends. They are relatable but not too much where professionalism lacks. Because when they speak they know exactly what they’re talking about so why not have some fun too? I was inspired when I heard Kate hadn’t been certified and didn’t graduate with a BA in design. Because that shiiiit is not cheap!!Proving that some talent is natural, baby! And self-taught! She learns by doing. She did take a course in Interior Design and learned a lot about fundamentals that she now incorporates into her design work. Mr.Kate’s channel will take you thrift shopping scoring on inexpensive ways to pull a room together. Kate is a big DIY (do it yourself) artist as well. Her creativity and thoughtfulness are the true consistencies followed throughout her videos.


If the word ambition had a face, it would look like Karin Bohn. This woman works. In heels. Carrying around travel luggage for a single days work. She is dedicated to her business. While also genuinely accepting growth into all areas of her practice.

Based out of Vancouver, Bohn tours us around her 9 year running office, House of Bohn. My fav. videos are “a day in the life” where Bohn legit has a camera follow her from sun up to sun down. We get to see how a real interior designer lives day to day in the workplace. Bohn is the owner of House Of Bohn so entrepreneurial tips are shared! We get to meet her team of bomb azz women working in their shared office space. With Bohn, it’s more of commercial and corporate design. Karin went to Design school and graduated. Began work at a furniture idea store. Then moved her way up through hard work, and recognition within the field. Her channel is very inspirational. I like that we get to experience her challenges and then even better we get to experience how she handles those challenges. With a calm & cool head. For someone who has mad anxiety, I have been weary about jumping into something I may not be able to handle. But that is how the majority of people think. It’s how you handle ya damn self in those crazy moments that get you your own House of Bohn one day! Oh and the challenges never stop. That’s growth! Karin opened my eyes to so many other elements of being an Interior Designer I wasn’t aware of.


It is a grind! And these women do it well.

I got a question from reddit.

Following Matt’s tip for bringing value to my audience by finding what matters to them. Reddit is great source to find out what people are talking about.

The question is “should women be able to walk around topless like men do?”

It brings to the table, why aren’t we “allowed” to walk about topless? What have we created as a society that makes women’s breasts unacceptable to be shown when not portrayed in a sexual way?

It’s so odd to me. We see sex scenes (Game of Thrones) that graphically show women’s breasts used for intimacy. But when we breastfeed our babies, we get shit on? Progression of mindset needs to come before any real change can occur. 


I am an advocate for women’s rights. Ever since I brought a daughter into this world, I have been hyper-aware of the sexualization of women in the media. I am fiercely passionate about women having the right to show their bodies for their own reasons. Not for the “male gaze.”

I have witnessed my female friends become depressed and insecure due to the unrealistic beauty standards our society adheres to.

Some positive progressive changes have been implemented by women running big businesses. An example is CVS. Helena Foulkes, President of CVS and Executive VP for CVS, runs shit. She has made some drastic improvements to derail unrealistic beauty standards for women. She gets it. I’d love to sit down and have a drink with her.

Tons of reddit users shared that breastfeeding in public is stigmatized. Most felt strongly about breasts natural purpose, and agreed on the intended purpose which is to feed their babies.

Society is moving in a more progressive direction however. As CVS’s new beauty campaign launches, we can stay active in promoting healthy body image, boobs for food, and protect our women/girls.

Ok so, I would recommend practicing this exercise daily, especially if you are sitting for the majority of your day.

How is this good for wellness? This exercise will boost circulation. Meaning your blood will flow more freely throughout your whole body. The positive affirmations that you think during this exercise boost productivity and creativity. It may feel unnatural at first. Ok, that’s normal. Keep practicing it. The more you practice this exercise the more innate it will become.

When I began therapy, I was told discomfort meant growth. Unsure of the comment at the time, I was hesitant to step outside of my comfort zone. My social anxiety had crippled me. Prevented me from living my best life. So what did I do? I ~embraced~ the discomfort. I created the anxious thoughts, therefore, I have the power to eliminate them. Want to live differently? Then first you’ve got to think differently. Our minds are powerful. A beautiful haven for ideas to grow, connections to be made, and healthy habits to be nurtured.

Discomfort is a part of the game. It’s good to be rejected. It’s good to be loved. It’s good to play. Get shaky knees and go.

Follow IPDE when you’re feeling your emotions are getting ahead of you:

Identify the situation

Predict (realistically) what it will do to you

Decide what your actions will be

Execute those actions

Being emotionally prepared is important for overall wellness. Experts agree that replacing “low-frequency” phrases that feed negativity with “high-frequency” phrases like:

I can handle this.

I choose my reactions.

I am in control.

I accept what I can not change.

…can drastically change one’s mindset. Positivity for me is a choice. Happiness is a choice. I’ve been on the other side and I much prefer this one. There is power in those phrases. By taking accountability for your emotions, you are essentially taking control of your emotions as well.

Speak positively to yourself! Say those phrases out loud if that helps more. Write them down. Get them tattooed onto your body!

If you’re serious about changing your life and mindset you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.
